Maria Primero, RN, MA

Maria holds a Bachelor’s in English from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and a Master’s in Teaching from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She began her career as an educator at the university for nearly seven years before moving to the U.S., where she worked in healthcare roles such as marketing, recruitment, staffing, and off-shore office development. These experiences led her to pursue nursing, earning her degree from the City University of New York and becoming a Registered Nurse. After years in the business side of healthcare, Maria transitioned into clinical roles and found her background aligned strongly with MDS work. As a Director of MDS, she values collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate assessments, regulatory compliance, and improved patient outcomes. In her free time, she enjoys mindful travel, reading diverse literature, and exploring global cuisines—activities that deepen her appreciation for culture and perspective.
