Toshina graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY Campus. Her favorite part of the job is the absolute pleasure of taking care of seniors' dietary needs and ensuring they have the best dining experience possible. Knowing she contributes to their well-being drives her to do this daily. She has been working in healthcare for the past seven years. She has always been interested in food and cooking, even as a small child. So, over the years, she has learned as much as she could from watching tv and testing things out in her own kitchen until she decided to go to school and learn professionally. While in school, one of her Chef instructors recommended that she go into healthcare because he noticed how nurturing she was with her classmates. After graduating, she began to explore food service in healthcare. She started as a cook in a long-term care facility, worked her way up to supervisor, and became a Food Service Director, which changed her life. She puts her all into her career and expects the same from her staff. “We are a team that is here to serve the needs of our patients/residents, all while providing excellent customer service.”
