How did this patient hear about the Enclave? White Plains Hospital
Details of Experience:
Mike arrived to The Enclave at Rye from White Plains hospital two days post left knee replacement surgery. Mike was apprehensive about his prospects for a quick recovery, since the recuperation period from his right knee replacement surgery took a few months until he could walk without any pain. The nursing and rehabilitation teams here at The Enclave coordinated to create a comprehensive care plan, which would allow Mike to feel the confidence needed to get back to walking on his own feet. The interdisciplinary approach put Mike at ease, preparing him both physically and mentally to put in the hard work necessary to walk once again.
During the first week, Mike began walking with the assistance of a walker, and by the second week with a cane. We are thrilled to share that Mike will be leaving us at the end of his third week walking and transferring independently, unaided and free from pain! While Mike’s determination to walk played a major role in his recovery, he is grateful to the staff for believing in him and pushing him to his limits. He has come to love both the community and the staff and will miss the atmosphere and care The Enclave community provided.
